I was playing DD at a local shop on Thursday and the Casino Host was doing multiple drawings everyday to get promo chips. My name was called twice to pull chips from a bucket with a small fabric hole in the top and whatever chip denomination you pulled out you would get in promo chips.
My first pull I made $80.00 in promo chips, and the second pull I made $115.00 in promo chips. They gave me the promo chips in $5.00 increments. I put the chips aside and continued to play. As I kept playing I was thinking about a way to maximize the value of the promo chips. I dawned on me that if I placed a $5.00 chip on every number on the inside of the Roulette game that one of the numbers would hit and the $190.00 in promo would be a guaranteed $175.00 in cash.
I looked over to the pit boss and asked her if you can play promo chips on the inside of the Roulette game. She was not sure and decided to call upstairs and ask management…
They said I could!!
I slowly walked over to the table and began placing bets on every spot. The dealer rolled the ball, called out “no more bets” and it landed on 00. He payed out the bet in 7 $25.00 chips. I continued my DD game and noticed that the pit boss and dealer looking pretty salty talking to her relief while staring at me.
I heard the pit boss saying directly “That was BullShit” LOL. I guarantee by Friday, when I go up with the rest of my promo chips, that the inside rule will no longer be available. At least it was free EV on the day not to mention a $2,500.00 win from BlackJack.
Always try to think of “outside of the box” ideas to help generate EV!
